We have two holiday houses near Varakļāni. The houses stand a few hundred metres apart - far enough that neither disturbs the other. They are completely different - here is an honest comparison, including where the other one is the better choice.

Yes. The houses stand a few hundred metres apart - far enough that neither disturbs the other. A larger group or two families can book both at once - each takes up to 4 guests. Bookings are made separately on each site.
Which house is better with children?
«Odumiņi» — it has a playground with swings, a slide and a sandbox, plus 2 ha of grounds. Teiči has no playground.
Which house has a hot tub usable in winter?
Both, but differently: at «Odumiņi» it sits in a warm glazed orangery, at Teiči it is an outdoor spa tub under open sky. In both cases the tub is included in the nightly rate.
