Lake Lubāns

Lubāns is the largest lake in Latvia, covering 82.1 km². It lies on the Lubāns plain on the border of the Rēzekne and Madona districts and belongs to the Daugava basin. The surrounding area is one of the most important birdwatching sites in Latvia, and the lake is popular with anglers. Distance: 47 km, roughly 40 minutes by car.
